Dr. Tommie Mabry is a renowned international speaker, nationally acclaimed educator, and published author of books including “A Dark Journey to a Light Future: A Memoir.”

His inspirational story of trials, success, and service has been shared in USA Today, on PBS Network, BET Soul, and more.

Mabry’s growth from a troublesome childhood in a rough Jackson, Mississippi neighborhood to an educator and sought-after speaker inspires educators worldwide.

Dr. Lori Desautels

 Our Journey Through the Developing Nervous System as We Rewire Our Perceptions of Discipline

Dr. Desautels’ passion is engaging her students through the application of neuroscience as it applies to attachment, regulation, educator brain state, and teaching students and staff about their neuro-anatomy, thus integrating Mind Brain Teaching, learning principles, and strategies into her coursework at Butler. She has created webinars for educators, clinicians, and administrators illustrating how educators and students alike must understand their neuroanatomy to regulate behavior and calm the brain.

Double Queen rooms are $159 per night.

CESA 5 makes every effort to accommodate basic dietary needs such as vegetarian, gluten-free, and basic food allergies. To better serve our guests with dietary restrictions or allergies, please go into your constituent profile and update the dietary restriction section. Notice of a special dietary need must be made in advance of the event.

CANCELLATIONS: 
Registered participants will receive a full refund if they cancel at least 10 working days before the conference.  Because of our commitments to the conference facility, presenters, vendors, and participants, no refund of any kind, for any reason, will be given for cancellation requests received after July 29, 2024. CESA 5 cannot make exceptions to this policy. Registrations are transferable within your organization. Any lodging cancellations are the participant's responsibility and are not subject to refund by CESA 5. CESA 5 WILL NOT CANCEL THE CONFERENCE DUE TO INCLEMENT WEATHER.
