Virtual CESA 5 Book Club: Reading The Award Winners

Join us on Wednesday, April 10, Tuesday, April 30, and Tuesday, May 14, 2024, for the Virtual CESA 5 Book Club: Reading The Award Winners!

For 100+ years, lovers of children’s literature have anxiously awaited the annual announcement of the Newbery Medal winner for the most distinguished contribution to American literature for children.  We invite you to join us and other book lovers in our region to read and discuss the 2024 award winners.  We will read and discuss the Newbery Medal winner and the Caldecott Medal winner announced in January 2024. Prior to our first meeting, the group will determine two additional titles to read and discuss from the following lists:

• National Book Award Young People’s Literature winner
• YALSA Award for Nonfiction
• Pura Belpré Award Children’s Narrative or Young Adult Narrative winner
• Coretta Scott King/John Steptoe New Talent Author Award

Registration: No Cost (provide your own books)
