Language Essentials for Teachers of Reading and Spelling (LETRS)
Four-session series, in-person, volume 2 (units 5-8)

Prerequisite: Language Essentials for Teacher of Reading and Spelling (LETRS) Training Volume 1

LETRS is an empowering professional development course of study for instructors of reading, spelling, and related language skills. It provides knowledge and tools that teachers can use with any good reading program.

This four-session series will provide:

  • In-depth knowledge based on the most current research regarding what, when, and how language skills need to be taught
  • Ways to assess student language development for prevention and intervention
  • Guidance on how to plan and balance word recognition and comprehension instruction
  • Information on how to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all students
  • Focus specifically on oral language and vocabulary, understanding reading comprehension instruction, and the reading-writing connection

Audience: 
Elementary Teachers, Reading Specialists, Instructional Coaches, EL and Special Education Teachers, Interventionists, and Administration

Districts will be invoiced after Monday, December 30, 2024. At that time, cancellations will not be accepted, and refunds will not be allowed.  Registration is transferrable to a staff member in your district. This supersedes our regular cancellation policy.

Per the LETRS policy, online course licenses are non-transferable. Once a participant has confirmed/logged into their account, it cannot be transferred to a new participant.
